Successful Completion of Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) – Pune Metro Line III
Pune Metro Line III: Pioneering the Future of Urban Mobility!
On September 19th and 20th, 2024, we were honored to host a senior delegation from PITCMRL AECOM, our contractor and system integrator, for the successful Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of the Master Clock System designed for the Pune Metro Line III project. This system will ensure precise time synchronization across the 23 elevated stations of the Puneri Metro, which stretches 23.3 km from Hinjewadi to Shivajinagar.
Project Overview
The Pune Metro Line III project is a landmark development in India’s urban transportation landscape. Expected to be completed in 2026, this line will serve 260,000 passengers daily, connecting key areas of the city through a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) created by Tata’s TRIL Urban Transport Private Limited and Siemens Project Ventures GmbH (TRIL UTPL + SPVG).
MOBATIME’s Excellence in Time Synchronization
At the heart of the project is the MOBATIME Master Clock System, which ensures accurate time and date information through synchronized pulse and phase signals across the metro network. This system also enables the display of precise time in public and restricted areas via analogue and digital clocks.
- What makes this project unique?
The Pune Metro Line III stands out for its white LED digital clocks and custom-designed, magenta-colored, double-sided analogue clocks, which create a bold and modern aesthetic. These clocks, featuring sleek black finishes with vibrant magenta markers and hands, are complemented by subtle blue accents—making them a striking visual feature in metro stations, reinforcing the unique identity of the Puneri Metro.
